A Visual Celebration of India: World Heritage Day ’22

The event has been a reflective composition brought to us from our young minds trying to configure the idea that emphasis the revisit of the glorious journey of our country and contemplate on its diverse culture.

With a perspective of giving them a channel to ponder their thoughts in form of a beautiful and defined picture, the school organized the event triggering the pulsating opinions emerging in the minds of next generation to flow across inspiring the world.

Virtual Art Exhibition has been an inspiring epitome at Bal Bhavan, celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm ever since its inception. With the spark of igniting young minds and creating an intense connection of creativity, curiosity and excitement in its pupil and abundant overflowing ideas emerging, this event has so far been able to manifest its ideologies in the school curriculum.

 AIM
Virtual Art Exhibition, intends to hansel the virtues of rich cultural heritage of our country among our students. The event aims to absorb the idea that cultural heritage belongs to everybody, and digital cultural heritage, even more so. A large number of museums, libraries and archives have published openly licensed, high-quality images (art, photographs, prints, etc) online and we at Bal Bhavan feels immense pride to have also initiated the same practice.

This annual event aims at raising awareness of the importance of heritage preservation for sustainable development under the annual theme "Shared Cultures, Shared Heritage and Shared Responsibility" of the International Day for Monuments and Sites, known as the World Heritage Day.

We also believe in promoting research-based study followed by a pragmatic approach of application-based ideas, ideas that can take shape on the ground and make a difference.

 VISION

Virtual Art Exhibition, themed on the Heritage Day is an opportunity for all Bal Bhavanites to illustrate a good practice in heritage preservation by maximizing the benefits from safeguarding our tangible and intangible heritage and knowing about the magnificent past and ethnicities of India that will certainly fill their hearts with patriotism.

The students from Classes Nur to XII will collaborate to raise awareness of the importance of heritage preservation for sustainable development under the annual theme- PAINT MY INDIA@2047, ON MY CANVAS” by using their creativity and imagination. The paintings will be students’ virtual representation of the art forms in Indian Folk Art style or fusion of one or more folk art styles like Gond, Warli, Madhubani, Kalamkari or any other Indian folk-art style.
